What song are you listening to right now?
(I generally work in silence, so I'm listening to the wind and the fountains outside.)
My personal blog about the random things that are in my life: writing, knitting, and substitute teaching.

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
Not listening to music. I don't usually unless I'm driving. I hear the man preparing to install my bathroom linoleum, cars driving by, and my dog barking. It's the first time he's barked at anyone working on the bathroom. Should I believe he's uneasy with this one?
ReplyDeleteI would definitely listen if the dog felt something off, but it could be something innocuous like a weird sound he's making or he's doing something just different enough from the others who have worked on your bathroom.
DeleteHe said he had a "bunch of dogs at home." He didn't feel well and left early. Someone else came who'd been here before, and Mickey was fine again! Maybe he could smell he was sick? The researchers say dogs can detect COVID now, in addition to lots of other things.
DeleteThat's probably it.
DeleteAtop The Fourth Wall -- Secret Wars II. Half hour in, and I still got an hour left.
ReplyDeleteWhat's in my head..I think it's from Boston... Mary-ann walking away....
ReplyDeleteGee, thanks. Now it's stuck in my head ;)
DeleteNothing, but the local news is on. Out of spokane. Reporting on the wildfires.
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to a small fan blowing air in my direction, while trying to stay cool!
ReplyDeleteOye Como Va by Santana
ReplyDeleteNice.
DeleteNo song here, tv is on. However, one of the first things I used to do when I sat at my desk to work, I turned on the radio. I cont for years to use an actual radio, not my phone and still do. But no song here right now. However, yesterday I was in my BR cleaning and listening to the Bee Gees on the record player. Getting that old sound to my music.
ReplyDeleteYou still have a record player? Oh, you must show off what vinyl albums you have. I'm sure your blog readers want to know. (I want to know.)
DeleteI can almost hear you sigh, Rolling Stones
ReplyDeleteAh, the Stones...
DeleteTake Me Out to the Ball Game
ReplyDeleteThis does not surprise me.
DeleteNeil Sedaka's "The Other side of Me"
ReplyDeleteI like silence! I can't even work with music on without becoming distracted. Having said that, when I sit outside with my laptop in the summer, I sometimes listen to music from the Monday weekly blog hop I am a part of. If not, I'm listening to bird song.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can't concentrate with music either. (I know, a weird question to ask, then.)
DeleteNo song right now, but I'm getting ready to write (just stopping by Blogger real quick). When I DO write, however, I will play classical music on low.
ReplyDeleteNice.
DeleteIndie tunes on YouTube/Spotify/Alexa. I like the hidden gems that Indie music offers. At night I listen to the sounds of old trains chugging down the tracks. Lulls me to sleep most of the time.
ReplyDeleteSounds great.
DeleteI listened to all sorts of music nonstop for decades. For some reason, I'm happy with silence much of the time these days. Meanwhile, my husband's constant need to play podcasts while I drive us anywhere sometimes gets on my nerves. Heh... Be well!
ReplyDeleteTalking in the car? For some reason, that bothers me. I can do music while driving, but not something I have to pay attention to, so I feel your pain.
