I pulled out my stitch dictionaries and found a pattern. I cast on. I started with moss stitch for the bottom and the sides. And I just completed one pattern repeat.
So, the new afghan is coming along. It's not quite big enough for me to enjoy the warmth while I'm working on it, but it'll get there sooner or later. Hopefully before things warm up.
Is the temperature far below zero?
ReplyDelete*snort* We've been absolutely frigid here. It's dipped down into the 30s (Fahrenheit). That's really as cold as it gets here. (And by 30s, I mean it got down as far as 38. At night.)
DeleteNow is a good time of year to knit a blanket.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteIt's looking good so far. I like the dark blue.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteIt looks so cozy already! The complete project will be nice for some real cold weather.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty pattern. I hope you finish it before it warms up.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty pattern and a lovely color as well.
ReplyDeleteHaving a stitch dictionary and the fact you're casting on made me grin. I like the color, pattern, and wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteStitch dictionaries are a must. There's no way to know all the possible stitches.
DeleteIt's a very nice pattern. I'm making some progress on my temperature afghan, and it helps that the weather here is brrr (22 right now at 6:15 pm) so I can always blow some cold air your way if you need more inspiration.
ReplyDeleteNah, it's cold enough for us right now.
DeleteI think if I live your area, I would be wearing shorts.
ReplyDeleteHappy needles and yarn puzzle dictionary! May they be fast and sure. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteCould certainly use some warmth here - going to be close to 20 degrees tonight.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I made several throws but when I moved I gave away most of my yarn. I have to be in the mood to knit or crochet so when the mood hits again I will go off and buy more yarn. Lol....have fun.
ReplyDeleteYarn is easy to find if you want it.
DeleteThat colour is a soothing one.
