Uh, no. I remember 1981. I was in fourth/fifth grade. That makes me Gen X.
So, let's see how badly they mangle your generation. I don't think I have very many Millennial readers, so most of you should not get this result. Let me know in the comments how badly they got your generation (or if they actually guessed correctly). I'm very curious.
Yup, I also got Millennial, though I was born in 1961! Mostly I chose “something else,” unless there was a non-fried chicken sandwich on the list. I picked the baked potato at Wendy’s 😋
ReplyDeleteDidn't finish it, I had the fake virus pop-ups again that required me to close the page to get rid of them. I did a few. Some of the places I've never been to, and one I won't go to. The ones I do go to didn't offer me what I would actually order.

ReplyDeleteI was born at the tail end of the Baby Boom. I don’t eat fast food anymore (health reasons) but answered as if I still did. They think I’m a millennial. I am the mother of two millennials.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think you can tell someone's generation by the food they like. It's a bad premise (but fun to laugh at quizzed like this). Tail end of the Baby Boom? Does that make you Generation Jones?
DeleteI took the quiz just for the fun of it though some of those outlets don't exist in my neighbourhood. "You are not a millennial," I was told explicitly.

DeleteDon't freak out, but it said I was a millennial and I am a boomer! I have never even eaten at many of those chains as we don't have them.. Some others I haven't eaten at for many years so I would be clueless as to their current offerings. I rarely eat fast food, anyway. Were they trying to guess from the generation each offering was introduced in i.e. a baby boomer might go for a Big Mac more than something introduced five years ago? Anyway, this quiz is great at not predicting one's generation.
ReplyDeleteI think you nailed it. They're going for your selections being something offered starting in you generation. That makes sense. And then it makes sense that they'd get it wrong, as most of us have moved on from what we ate when we were kids.
DeleteI never do those quizzes, as I've read many times that's what causes you to get viruses on your computers, and also. I don't really go to fastfood places, but maybe once or twice a year. And I'm a boomer like Alana above and, so me thinks their record of guessing it right is pretty poor. Welcome back to the school year. The summer sure went by fast. Too fast.
