Oh What Fun!

This past summer I started doing random questions on Fridays (as the quizzes were too much work sometimes), so that's what I'm posting today.

It's the end of winter break, sort of. (We have this coming Monday and Tuesday off as well.) I know that most people went back to work this week, so we're a bit weird with that. (I don't know who decides the school calendar. I just go along with what was decided by them.)

Of the holidays that just passed, what did you enjoy the most?

(I can't answer this question yet, as I am writing this on December 20th. Maybe I'll have something to add in the comments.)

  1. We went out on Christmas Eve, a group of us had fondue at The Melting Pot. Same group went out for New Year’s, to a local Greek place, they had a d.j., a singer and a belly dancer.

  2. Eh... nothing to write home about, as my mother used to say, regarding any of them. No big deals, meals, family visiting, etc. I will only say, "Christmas," because I enjoyed decorating the front yard.

  3. I'm like Lisa except I barely decorated. lol My favorite thing was not traveling to exhaustive social gatherings.

    1. And that's a thing, too. I was kind of happy to skip the big Christmas thing with my family (I was sick). It can be more stress than it's worth to do a big gathering.

    2. While sorry you were sick, I approve and have stretched that excuse at times. lol With my mother gone and so many familial estrangements I prefer staying where they are free to travel hours to visit.

    3. Yeah, sometimes it's best to stay away from the family.

  4. No trips, no hosting other than a gathering of six other people for Christmas Eve. It was wonderful.

  5. I actually enjoyed Hanukkah the most. While I'm not Jewish, my fiancee is. I was intrigued by her devotion of lighting the candles and reciting a Hebrew prayer each crazy night. Plus, I got stuff.

  6. Went on an outing, watched a movie in a multiplex... That's it.

  7. Family time, and the fact that I left Amber's house and only had to drive 10 mins to home instead of and hour and 15 mins.

    1. And that was the whole reason you moved. It makes seeing her so much easier, doesn't it?

  8. We visited hubbie's hometown and enjoyed the gatherings and meals with the extended family.

    Happy Sunday, Liz.

  9. We were low key, just us and we ended up opening all of our gifts on Christmas Eve. Other than a couple of small things that we opened earlier in the week. We just can't wait!

    1. Low key is fun, too. Sometimes the big gatherings aren't worth the trouble.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
