What if? It's the basis of many stories. We ask. We ponder. We wonder.
On Tuesdays I throw one out there. What if? It may be speculative. It may stem from something I see. It may be something I pull from the news.
Make of it what you will. If a for instance is not specified, interpret that instance as you wish. And if the idea turns into a story, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements 😉
What if you managed to capture the big bad (a villain), but someone in authority came along and freed them?
I'd call a super hero for justice. ~grin~ Or maybe become one? Heh... Be well!
ReplyDeleteHAHA....I love Darla's answer! I am all for calling in Wonder Woman myself. But actually that leaves you wonder who you can trust and who to turn to next.
ReplyDeleteThat would just be very very frustrating. I'd want some extra pay to cover the stupidity of the person who let them go, or a funded vacation, before going after the nasty villain again. Maybe I'd just move on with my life, with a shrug.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt, I will super disappointed. But, gradually, I will reconcile with the reality, and come to terms with it.
ReplyDeleteIt happens. I'd assume either the authority was paid off, big. Or, they want the villain free for some reason. Perhaps he's really undercover, or willing to testify against his big, bad boss and it's all still being investigated.
ReplyDeleteSounds like what it is happening in these stores right now. I am not sure it pays to intervene.
ReplyDeleteI would, out of disgust, probably lose all my faith in the system. Maybe I could become a superhero who works outside of the law. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI, too, love Darla's answer.
ReplyDeleteI would march straight to the Daily Planet and enlist the help of Clark Kent!
