Weirdly Fascinating

I've noticed that "weird" is making the rounds lately. So...

What is something that is weird about you?

I don't know if I can narrow it down to just one thing, so I'll go with the first thing that comes to mind. I have weird tastes in food. Name something that most people enjoy, and I likely hate it. I did a Thursday 13 about this topic last summer, so I feel I've covered the specifics.

Covid update: I tested negative yesterday. Woo-hoo!

    1. Thanks. I only had about a day and a half of feeling really awful. The rest of it has been just minor cold symptoms.

  2. Yes, woo-hoo. Happy it was mild for you and that you can work next week. Lots of things are weird about me but one of these things may be the way certain flowers that people enjoy the scent of smell like ripe garbage to me - certain lilies, certain lilacs and also paperwhites. I also find some foods so bitter I can't even eat them.

  3. Glad you don't have Covid! Hope you're feeling better. Weird thing about me. Hmmm. Well, I don't cuss. Instead I have my own made-up words that pretty much do the job. :)

    1. I *no longer* have Covid (woo-hoo!). What sorts of non-cuss words do you use?

  4. So happy to hear you don't have covid! I had to go read your 13 no go foods, lol - I like all of them. I know I can be quirky, I do like that weird isn't as taboo as a thing as it has been in the past.

    1. We can be proud of our weird. Yeah, that list of foods I hate isn't complete, but most people disagree with me.

  5. You're good to go!
I only buy books from iTunes, nowhere else, if you think that's weird.

  6. Glad you don't have Covid. Being sick sucks. Weird thing about me would be seeing things underwater makes me uneasy. Especially really big things.

    1. I *no longer* have Covid. (I've been updating the blog all week.) Do you mean if you are underwater or just seeing things via pictures?

  8. Glad you are better! I sniff books, paper. I like the smell of magazines, new books, notebooks, etc. I love to visit Barnes & Noble.

  9. I think that would take a book, to describe everything weird about me. I have never had my haircut professionally? Is that weird? I just cut it myself maybe over a couple days, when it bugs me.

    1. Weird is however you define it. So, you've never found a stylist you like? Or you just don't care to bother?

  10. I don't eat anything avian—chicken, turkey, or duck—but I'm not really sure why.

  11. I once frightened my mother by screaming at a backyard swing blown haphazardly by high winds. While I don't recall the incident, my inexplicable pendulaphobia has never completely gone away. I'm thankful mine is nowhere near as bad as some folks suffer. https://whattigerthinks.blogspot.com/2015/04/10-things-that-people-with.html

    1. I had never heard of pendulaphobia. That's an interesting one.

    1. I have super weird dreams, too. I wonder if you sweat when you get scared, hence the itchy armpits.

    2. I believe the itch is from adrenaline. Nearly getting into car accidents and similar incidents made my armpits tingle until I was prescribed beta blockers.

    1. Best to embrace your differences rather than trying to conform. If we were all the same, we'd be boring.
