Pen Deluge

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements.
😉

What if every pen you've ever lost suddenly reappeared (like, at your desk, or on a counter in your home)?

  1. My entire house would be filled with pens.
    Now, how about socks?

  2. I'd be drowning in pens!
Guitar picks would at least fill my office.

  3. It's not pens that disappear in my house. Other things that "disappear" my son always insists I got rid of! I hope I'm not that forgetful.

  7. I don't think there'd be too many pens. I don't usually lose them, I just keep one in every purse, and I may own a purse or ten ;-)))
    It's a fun idea though!

  8. I'd have A LOT of pens! Some of our cats like the steal pens, so I'm sure there's quite a collection somewhere.

    1. What do cats want with pens, do you think? Are they writing lots of letters to people we don't know?

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
