Jewelry with a Purpose


At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉

What if you could wear your earphones/airpods/earbuds like earrings?

    I prob would not do it. I have so many earrings that I like to switch up, I would be at a loss.

    I prefer the earbuds in my ear and earrings on my earlobes.

    I am not apposed to semi permanent electronic devices being attached to myself. One day we will all be tracked by them, but the government will claim it is for our own safety.

      We already are tracked by our phones. If they want us to attach trackers to us, we'll do it willingly.

    No....I wouldn't care for them besides it would pick up the end noise et just like cell phones do now which is irritating when speaking to someone on their phone.

    That assumes I have earphones/airpods/earbuds! I don't have any of any of those! I guess it would keep people from losing them.

      All I have are the earphones the phone came with. But I figured I was in the minority.

    I think I'd go for it, depending on how they looked. I seem to forget my ear buds a lot but almost always have on earrings, so that could be helpful.

    I don't wear earrings and I try not to use earbuds (I find them uncomfortable) so I'm saying "wouldn't be a fan".

    If they could make them lightweight enough, yeah! A cute dangly earring that you can flip up and stick into your ear when needed. Then they'd sell them in all kinds of colors and designs.
