Since it's the end of the year, I sought out an end-of-year quiz. I found this one from the New York Times:
Special End-of-Year 2022 News Quiz for Students
It's a good overview of the year, but there are a couple caveats. First, it's from the New York Times, so it's very US-centric. Second, it's 45 questions long. It's multiple choice, and the answers are given after you choose, but if you don't have time for a 45-question quiz, feel free to skip it.
I managed to get 41 out of 45. I'm impressed with that score. I did guess on a couple that I got right, but mostly I did remember most of these.
If you get a chance to take it, let me know how you did in the comments.
42/45, and two of those I should have known.
ReplyDeleteDon't ya hate it when that happens?
DeleteI only got 36 out of 45, which surprised me a little. Though I purposely got the question about Jet Plane Pollution Barbie wrong because she can just go to hell.
ReplyDelete41/45 and one I had a brain cramp on - I should have known!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's the smack the forehead moment.
DeleteIt's great you got such a high score! Being so US centric I'm sure I wouldn't do so well with it, haha!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas and you have a happy new year!

Thanks.
Delete35 ....
ReplyDeleteGood job.
Delete42...don't know diddly about T. Swift. The Ukraine-Russia fighting for 40, 80 or 10 yrs felt like a trick question given the history of the USSR. And I didn't realize that our support of Ukraine in its fight with Russia was to the tune of 19 billions dollars. Fun quiz, Liz. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI was glad to find a news one. I looked last year and couldn't find one.
Delete37, which I am actually pretty happy with, although I thought I was doing better.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good score.
DeleteInteresting test. Merry Christmas and have a joyous New year Liz
ReplyDeleteI got 38 which isn't bad. I truly knew 2 of the answers I got wrong but got screwed up in the way I read it. Oh well, some were lucky answers. I wish you a very happy new year and now will work backwards.
ReplyDeleteGood job. Yeah, it's amazing what we forget. And sometimes the questions are worded weird.
DeleteI got 36, which I'm very pleased with considering there were some very US-centric Q in the mix.
ReplyDelete31 out of 45. I'm not up on pop culture.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
32 out of 45.
ReplyDeleteI got all the US-centric questions wrong.
However, I got all questions related to developments (even the US ones) that had made world headlines right. :-)
