What if? It's the basis of many stories. We ask. We ponder. We wonder.
On Tuesdays I throw one out there. What if? It may be speculative. It may stem from something I see. It may be something I pull from the news.
Make of it what you will. If a for instance is not specified, interpret that instance as you wish. And if the idea turns into a story, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements 😉
What if your most embarrassing moment went viral? (And aren't we all glad that social media didn't exist when we were teenagers?)
I am eternally grateful social media didn't exist when I was a teen although I would have loved the Internet in general. That most embarrassing moment? I would feel like crawling into a hole and dying at first but then, maybe, I could turn it into a teachable moment in some way. I hope I could, anyway.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we are fortunate that social media came about when we were older.
DeleteOh gosh....can't even begin to think what that moment would be! I know through my life I have had a few! OOPS...that could be bad or funny, depending.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that they're buried then, right?
DeleteHum....nothing comes to mind. I'm sure there were times when I was embarrassed, but maybe due to my age and the number of years, nothing stands out. I would like to have had internet when I was young, I think it would have helped me stay in touch with people that I often think about but don't know where they are. People move, come and go in jobs etc, it's a shame, but you loose touch. Hope you had a nice Christmas, and that you're able to stay warm, and healthy.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved the internet for research when I was a teen. Alas, as for Christmas, that's the day I tested positive for Covid, so it's not been a great few days.
DeleteMeh ....I would not be happy but, like everything else, it goes by the wayside u ril people forget.
ReplyDeleteYeah, thought I imagine it's harder to forget if it's on video...
