I did, in fact, finish my little project from last week.
It's called a Personal Pouch, and you can click on that link to see the pattern.
I find interesting constructions fascinating, and this was small enough so that I could play with it. It's a simple square on the back:
While on the front, the triangles overlap:
Which leaves the middle as a place to stash stuff:
The lip balm kind of gives a sense of scale. The pattern blog post shows it containing earbuds. I didn't have any handy while taking the pics, but I did have a charging cable available:
It's a quick little project that I might replicate if I find I have a need for more of these. I don't have a need for the one I made. Not really. But it was fun to do.
One of these days I'll get something really interesting going. Not this week likely, but one of these days.
That is so cute!
ReplyDeleteHa, cute. I don't think my brain would have ever put together what it was without the picture of the final product.
ReplyDeleteI like the color. Looks antique.
ReplyDeleteThe color does give that impression.
DeleteVery cute
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI suddenly have a lot of charging cords, etc. I may consider making this personal pouch although I don't have any of the required crochet thread. And I somehow never read your post last week - I'll caution your readers that they are interested in the project, they should read last Monday's post before they start.
ReplyDeleteI just used yarn I had on hand. And I did it with a D hook rather than the C in the pattern (as I didn't have a C hook). It'll just make it larger.
DeletePeople like useful things which is why they get more bang for buck when up for auction at ebay or amazon. I remember years ago trek iphone covers were all the fashion. Despite this knitted iphone covers are still in use.
ReplyDeleteFun! I really like that pink-rose color you choose as well.
ReplyDeleteThat was entirely because I had that yarn on hand. It was a pain to work with, though.
DeleteHi Liz - I'm sure they'd make great presents ... a fun project ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteGlad it was fun to do. It's really cute.
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite handy and useful.
ReplyDeleteIt’s cute! It reminds me of a coin leather pocket I had as a gift. I got a kick out of opening and closing it.
ReplyDeleteThis is cute and perfect for things like this or lipstick etc.. I like the colour.
