What if you could always have your pet with you at work? (I do mean at work, not working from home, which they'd be at with you every day anyway.)
My personal blog about the random things that are in my life: writing, knitting, and substitute teaching.

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

That would be no problem! I mean, when I worked. I spent the day with other dogs anyway! It was the pet store location of a local farm and ranch store. Dogs are not meant to be left alone all day, especially crated up for 8-9 hours.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely one job where you would expect pets to be.
DeleteI could see having the cats there but not so much the dog. With cats, a cat tree, litter boxes...you can just let them go and they don't require much daily care. A dog would be hard to keep up with, they require more attention and you have to take them out for BR breaks.
ReplyDeleteIt would, of course, depend on what workplace it was too, I imagine.
DeleteMy little Shih Tzu would love to come to work with me each day - I could carry him in a big tote and he just sleeps and lounges all day anyway, haha!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a nice week :)
Away From The Blue
Awww. That would be so cute.
DeleteOne of the smaller businesses my department sometimes hires to do work for our company has a "dogs OK at work" policy. And, the owner's dog has become "the office dog" and even has an entry on the "about our employees" page on their website (Must be a cool place to work!) I feel for the pandemic dogs once their owners return to work, because enough of these dogs have never been alone.
ReplyDeleteThat would be an interesting place to work.
DeleteDoing personal care with people it could be very soothing to people I work with. Both of clients have cats already.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Hello! Very nice blogsite. Thank you for providing this site. Here in Turkey, Pets are not alloved in work place. But one time, my Parrot stayed with me while i worked.
ReplyDeleteMost places they aren't. But what if they were...?
DeleteNope. A cat always walks on computer, and I won't like to work with a Doberman next to me 😄. I just don't understand people carrying their pet always and everywhere... 😉
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine a dog or cat in an office.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? But what if...? How would that change the culture of the office?
DeleteI'd love it. My old boss had 2 poodles, one black (Tasha) and the other, white(Sara) and he brought them to the office every day. The clients felt more at ease when the dogs came out to visit. Tasha had a habit of jumping on their laps which they loved.
