On Twitter

I finally went and did it. I got myself a Twitter account. And I have no idea what to do with it.

I guess we all have to start someplace. So, I have a question for all the Twitter experts out there. Well, more like three, actually.

Any good tips for the newbie? What should I know so as to not completely mess things up? Who should I follow (besides you, of course, because I'm definitely following you)?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me. The comments are open. Thanks in advance. (By the way, I'm @ZiziRho. I'm sure I'll figure the link thing eventually.)

  1. Welcome to twitter. Going to follow you now!

  2. Twitter is just a conversation. I'll chat with you some so you can see how it goes. Basically, that's how you get the most out of it. People who are posting things to twitter for the most part want you to talk to them. Celebs try to provide info but they don't give a shit about you and will never respond (for the most part). There are some that I absolutely feel are important to follow. Obama is one as he is the leader of our nation. Anderson Cooper is another. NPR a third.

  3. Good gravy, Twitter scares me. There's something about it that makes me cringe. Congrats on taking the dive. Someday I'll join. Good luck figuring it all out! ;)

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
