What Is Your Birthday Word?

Considering the trouble I had last week finding a quiz, this week I'm cheating. Somewhat.

What is your birthday word?

You type in the year you were born, and the generator gives you a word that was coined near to then. So, much simpler than last week.

I ended up with romcom. I'll take it.

I'm curious. What word did it give you?

  5. Hi Liz - I hope 'positive' ... I've stopped doing these as all they do is garner information about us - so I decided I'd stay clear - fun to do ... but not necessary. RomCom sounds good! Stay safe ... Hilary

  6. Moonwalk (1952) Even then, they were thinking of visiting the moon. This, by the way, appears to be run by the online Oxford English Dictionary. I do avoid a lot of these quizzes.

  8. A game from the venerable Oxford English Dictionary! This was a surprise.

I got 'Kawaii'. (1965). It means "cute, esp. in a manner considered characteristic of Japanese popular culture; charming, darling; ostentatiously adorable."

I know this is fun, but usually I don't get into such games. But did this because this is from OED.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
