Crazy?

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. ðŸ˜‰

What if the person ranting outside (the one you generally avoid) started making sense?

  2. What Birgit said. Although if he was ranting that the end was near...

  3. Clearly there's something wrong with my hearing then.

  4. If he was yelling something useful, such as, "Your house is on fire! Get out now!" I would heed his advice. Even a broken clock tells you the right time twice every 24 hours.

  5. I think i would do what Cynthia said. Listen and see what he was saying. Otherwise I would put on headphones and try to ignore him.

  6. I'd listen to him. If it was a conspiracy theory that made sense, I would check myself in somewhere. If it was "your house is on fire!" I would get out first and ask questions later. And hope he didn't start the fire.

  10. Well like all your deep questions that would all depend on what they are ranting about! haha...if it seemed of interest to me then I would still probably avoid that person, but from a distance so I could hear what they had to say but not having to deal with them one on one.

  11. I will first convince myself that I am not hallucinating. After that, maybe I will listen to what is being said.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
