More Minions

How are you all doing?

I know, I've been sort of ignoring the pandemic here on the blog. It's not that I've been ignoring it, though. It's more I've had nothing to say in regards to it. I'm staying home. I'm going out sparingly. And I've found that I have little to say about it.

But I did want to update you on the Minions...

My roommate Luisa and I have been getting out for almost daily hour-long walks. One of the neighbors had done this on their lawn...

No sooner had I posted that, those neighbors went and extended the display. Now there are six minions. So you can see, I did it in two pictures...

The guy on the right is new. The other two are in the first image. Then...

The guy on the right is an overlap from the above picture. Do you see the guy in the tree?

Luisa and I had wondered how long our walks are. Then I realized that there was already a tracker on our phones. It turns out our walks have been about two miles long.

Not too shabby.

Have you been taking walks? What's going on in your neck of the woods?

  1. Yes, your neighbors are cool.
Been walking a lot more since I can't go to the gym.

  2. I've been gardening a lot for exercise and sanity. Fortunately, I also have some exercise equipment (including various weights). That is a cute display!

  4. Those minions are so cute. Glad they are adding to the display too! Great on your walks! Too hot to walk here unless first thing in the morning or when sun goes down so I walk on the treadmill. Our state is opening up with hair salons tomorrow and sit down eating Monday. Son's restaurant opens Wednesday. We have dinner reservations there that night. So we are doing good I think!

  5. Yes, I walk, and at lunch, since I am working from home, I walk in our neighborhood with my husband. Haven't been able to do that in years. Then, after work, I walk with him again. (He's retired). No minions have been spotted, however.

  6. Such a creative idea to start displaying Minions and to keep everyone entertained in these times.

  7. The minions would give them something to do and something for the kids in the neighbourhood as well. Nice.

Small walks with the elderly dog. I want to increase but can't with him, but can't bring myself to leave him behind.

  8. Hi Liz - what fun to see the minions ... great idea. Yes - I walk everyday ... but have no idea how far ... but I know I've had a good walk after an hour ... I vary my route. We all have our personal opinions about Covid it's easier not to add to the mix - so I'm quite glad to find a few blogs without mention. Take care and enjoy your 2 mile walks - Hilary

  9. O, those minions are so nice!
Yes, I do go for a walk in the morning. Sometimes, if I am in the mood for it, it's a long walk of about 3 miles, otherwise it's just about 1.5 or 2 miles.
Actually, I would have loved to run, as I used to during my younger days. But now I can't, my left knee pains. That's because of an injury I sustained many years ago. So I do some very light jogging, so that it doesn't put too much pressure on my knees.

  10. I LOVE the Minions. :) I have NOT been walking but I need to! I have a million and one excuses and currently, sitting at the sewing machine is the best one I've got. It's true but I do take breaks and I could just as easily take a walk on those breaks but I don't. I hop online or put my feet up and watch some tv. I need to do better. 2 miles is quite a feat. Good for you! Maybe one day I'll be writing that on my blog but not today because... Fill in any excuse you'd like.
