Handknit and Felted Small Shoulder Handbag in Black, Orange, & Purple |
The pictures turned out better than I expected. I was kind of thinking I'd have to redo them again, but these are good enough for now.
In other news, I have listed several fidget spinner cozies...
Light Blue Knit Fidget Cover |
But they're getting no views. Have I missed the fad? Likely. What would you call these things? (I'd like to try some new keywords, but I'm out of ideas. Any help you can give would be appreciated.)
And finally, a preview for next week, if I'm finally able to finish what I'm working on...
The picture isn't the best. (I think about posting to Instagram at the oddest times, and I make do with what I have on hand to get as plain a background as I can for what I'm working on at the time.) So, a description: I am working an I-cord over a length of wire.
Any ideas what I'm thinking for this? Bets if I'll actually pull it off?
If it works out, I'll have photos next week. If not, we'll just pretend this never happened, okay?
Fingers crossed and hopefully you get it finished. Great work, warm greetings to you.
ReplyDeleteDon't know what other words you could call the fidget holders. Sorry they aren't getting views.
ReplyDeleteI heard the fidget spinners are losing momentum. Sorry you have not sold any. Your purses look great and I can’t wait to see what your creation will be. Yesterday I was at the One of a Kind Show in Toronto. It is a 12 day craft and art show that is amazing. You need to google it. Anyway, I saw someone who was working with felt and it was more fuzzy if that makes sense. She was selling jellyfish and they did not look as involved as yours...not by a long shot. I looked at the price and she was selling them for $50! The crafters come every year to this show, some from BC, Quebec, and out East. They have to pay, not only for the show, but accommodations, food, transportation and they come back every year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like something I'm going to need to go and see. Perhaps my jellyfish are underpriced?
Deletepossibly.... check it out https://www.oneofakindshow.com/toronto/en/meet-the-makers/artisans.html
DeleteWhich artisan? It takes me to a general page.
Deleteoh craps...OK I will try to find her again. I went to artisan profiles, textiles and she was close to the bottom of the page. I will try to find her again for you
DeleteThanks, that was enough information. Fabrics/textiles, and I found it. I see what you mean.
DeleteIt looks like she's a felter. Needle felting is rather involved, but yeah, if she's getting $50 for that, I could probably up my prices. Thanks for sharing.
Re: wire thing is it a Christmas tree? And I'm still seeing kids play with the fidget spinners in public but not seeing it anywhere else (online, etc) really. Not sure what keyword would help though :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for trying, though. They're great at markets--they attract kids. If they're a dud online, so be it.
DeleteI'm definitely clueless as to what you're making in the last picture. A hat maybe? That was the only thing I could think of. I'm definitely interested in seeing what it turns out to be.
ReplyDeleteFascinating but to be honest I'm not sure I'd have any use for a spinner cozy. Its curious to look at - sorry views are at zero.
ReplyDeleteHaha...you sure are making something creative!
ReplyDeleteThanks... I think.
DeleteI would think it could be tedious work to crochet over a wire. Now I'm curious with your project. Do let us know either way if it is a success of a dud.
ReplyDeletebetty
Ooh, I hope this project works out. I can't imagine what it will be. Sorry I have not suggestions to help promote your cozies. Be well!
ReplyDeleteIt was worth a shot. Thanks.
DeleteAre you sweater-bombing a wire? ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Kinda.
DeleteAre you making a spiral Christmas tree?
ReplyDeleteI like that idea. I may have to try that next year.
DeleteThat's exactly what I was thinking Pinky. Looks like a fab tree for a small space
DeleteMaybe fidget spinner accessories instead of cozies or covers?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing some kind of Christmas ornament or decoration for the wire project.
Oooh, good idea. Thanks.
DeleteAnd yeah, it's kinda a Christmas ornament.
You know something is a big project when you are up to part 8! Love the purses.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm not even close to done ;)
DeleteThankfully fidget spinners were a short lived fad here at my hometown! I see tons of them in the stores untouched!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I had a feeling that wouldn't last. I think kiddos still have them, but they leave them put away when I'm around.
DeleteYou've just reminded me that I should look at my keywords and see if I need to do any tweaking. I also have to retake some pictures of some necklaces. I added a shirt to my display and the pictures look much better that way.
ReplyDeleteKeywords are huge in SEO. Have you tried Marmalead?
DeleteHmm the last one has me curious :)
