I've been watching Through the Wormhole again. I probably shouldn't do this. And while the episode had to do with whether or not we have a finite universe, my mind went in an entirely different direction.

What if we created this universe? And by "we" I mean all of us. Collectively.

That's all I've got. Got any good questions?

  1. I suppose it's possible, especially given the nature of quantum mechanics which seems to change when we observe it. Einstein once asked his partner, "Can you prove that the moon is still there when no one is looking for it?" He famously said "No" and then laughed.

  2. Is the universe we see, even with advanced technology, merely the equivalent of Plato's Cave?

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
