Can't Get Rid of Me That Easy
At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. ๐
Have you seen the show Flip or Flop?
What if you had to work with your ex?

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

I have not seen it. I don't have an ex so can't really answer the question. The guys I dated before meeting hubby I have nothing against so I could work with them. Its sad that so many marriages end up with the spouses hating each other but if they have kids they are always going to be bound to each other even when the kids reach adulthood cause kids most likely will get married, have kids themselves and their parents will want to be involved. Those who can separate and divorce and still remain friends for the kids' sake (and I'm sure their sanity) are the wise ones.

That would be tough. I know a story of a couple who stressed over building a log cabin to the point they divorced before moving in. In an ironic twist, it was a man I worked with who bought the place. Heh... Be well!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a movie? (The Money Pit, if memory serves.)
DeleteNo ex! This is the easiest question you've ever posted (for me) on a Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteWould you consider working with an ex? ๐คจ
Glad I gave you an easy question.
DeleteNo ex for me either. But I have watched Flip or Flop. A lot of those shows seem at least partially scripted, so I am sure they can act their way through their job. In a show like that they aren't really on screen all that much together, so for those few minutes I'm sure they manage.
ReplyDeleteI am very good friends with my ex but..nope, no way, uh uh, nyet, Nein, craps NO!
ReplyDeleteAt least you two are good friends :)
DeleteI had possibly the most amicable divorce ever. I could do it.
ReplyDeleteVery good.
DeleteHave not seen that show....working with my ex, well I would hope that would be me working over him and him my employee! haha...Now to cont with this question ~ it should be okay, I did not kill him when we were married so maybe he would live through working for me (yes, for me)....why, there are laws against killing!
ReplyDeleteMurder is generally frowned upon.
DeleteYep...it is! People used to ask me (when the kids were teens, sure you can relate) how my kids were doing and I would always tell them that I had to killed them yet since there were those silly laws about that sort of thing.
DeleteI thought I'd be the only one to say I have no ex. I've had what I thought was a good friendship that ended bitterly. I' definitely would not work with her.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Flip or Flop yet. I'm curious to see their new dynamics.
I guess it would depend on how closely we would be working together. If we are both doing porn then it might get kind of awkward.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the show. With ex's that would depend. Did it just not work out? Or was the ex abusive? It sure would be difficult. Nope. Nope. Wouldn't work. Unless it was remote work and we lived on different planets.
ReplyDeleteI didn't specify on purpose. There are so many possibilities.
