The Russian Poncho, Final

I finished it.

If you had told me last week that this week's post would have the finished Russian Poncho, I would have laughed. Hard. I wasn't that close to finishing.

Apparently I was...

The front.

The back. It kind of reminds me of a butterfly.

Apologies for the awful pictures. Finding a spot with a plain background and good enough lighting proved to be impossible.

So, yeah. Tuesday, I rewatched the video because I was curious as to how she assembled the piece. And later that night I figured, "I have four squares, I might as well assemble the body". Somehow that gave me enough momentum to get that final square finished. And suddenly Friday night I was attaching the hood. All that I needed to finish Saturday was an edging along the bottom.

Now on to the next project...

In case you're keeping track, here's a bit of a timeline:

  5. Amazing, you really pulled that together!
Ponchos are so big right now. My 2 year old niece looked so gosh darned adorable in hers that I bought one too. So far no one has told me I look any kind of adorable.

I am an on-again, off-again crocheter. I'll hook like mad for a few days then forget about it for weeks.
    Kinda like my writing :P

    1. I can't sit still while watching TV. I discovered years ago that if I had a project to knit or crochet, I enjoy sitting with the TV on so much more. So now, if the TV is on, I'm stitching something.

If knitting/crochet was something I only did when I had nothing else to do, I wouldn't.

  9. It does look like a butterfly! Very cool that you finished it. I dig it. I would like that pattern as a blanket, a poncho, a hot pot holder, etc. :D
