A Lunar Holiday

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. ðŸ˜‰

What if we could vacation on the moon?

  1. I can't get an episode of "Futurama" out of my head. :) Good times. Be well!

  2. I have a feeling eventually we'll be able to. Think I will stay earth-bound though.

  3. The theme from 2001 A Space Odyssey just popped into my head for some reason ....

  4. Seems like it would be kind of boring up there. There's not much to do. Or breathe.

  5. Big whoop except to see the earth from there. If I start seeing martin landau and Barbara Bain, I will run back to earth

  6. My feet will be firmly planted on earth.

  7. Not for me, but maybe my grown child. Or his (if he ends up having one.)

  8. Could be interesting, I would have to see what activities would be available to do up there; what sightseeing if anything. Not sure I would enjoy the travel to get there though!

  9. Liz,

At one time I might be game for such an adventure but not so much anymore since getting to the moon requires air travel. I can't image it really appealing to me on that level, though. It would be cool place to visit for a few hours but not a few weeks. :)

  10. I would be interested in hopping on a ship, a space ship and taking a ride to check that out.

    1. That would be fun even without a destination in mind.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
