Commonly Misspoken Phrases

Wanna feel smug? This weeks random quiz should help you do just that...

Commonly Misspoken Phrases

In this one, you're selecting either column A or B. Just use those keys on your keyboard. And there's a way to skip questions. It's right around the answer box, so feel free to do these in the order you feel most comfortable.

I expect to hear perfect scores. We all got this, right?

    1. Weird. I have trouble with the website sometimes, so it could be them. By "those keys", I meant typing in "A" or "B".

  3. I didn't take the quiz, but a pet peeve of mine is misquoting things. For example, I've heard people say, "Money is the root of all evil." It's "The love of money is the root of all evil." You've got to have "love" in there.

  4. I missed one & I blame that Judas Priest song...

  5. I got 23/24. I refuse to say/write "another 'think' coming".

    1. Never heard of the 'think' expression, but have heard and sung aloud: You've got another thing coming!

  6. Guess I disappointed you. 22/24. One I really should have known better. The other was a surprise (bated breath); I need to get back into Shakespeare. It fooled my husband, too.

    1. I'm not disappointed. Some of those have been "wrong" in our collective language that we've adopted the newer version.

  10. I missed two, but I knew what the correct answers were. I hit 'B' but the game said I hit 'A.' Or something like that.

  11. 67% and I feel ridiculous for the ones I got wrong. *sigh*

  12. 100%. Although, there are a few I say the other way. But I know which one is correct.

    1. Yeah, sometimes it's nice to say things wrong just to say things wrong.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
