Variegated Blues

A while ago, I introduced the regular readers of this blog to my EOS Lip Balm Holders.

I even published the pattern (for those of you who crochet).

The suggestion was made to make it in a variegated yarn. So, since today is V day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to show you how those came out...

I think they turned out rather well.

Less than a week left. How are you keeping up with the A to Z Challenge? Ready for it to be over? Found any good blogs we should know about?

Today's A to Z Challenge post brought to you by the letter...

Yes, V is available for the giveaway.
Have you entered? It's open through the A to Z.

  1. What a handy little gadget. I have no creative skills. Well... I can sew a tiny bit. It's probably a good thing though, or I'd waste time and money making yard items for my cat...

  2. The variegated one turned out great! I’ve been visiting as many new blogs as I can.

  5. We bought a house...so I'm literally packing up my entire house to move this week while also trying to keep up with the A to Z Challenge and deal with the mounting assignments from clients in my inbox. Yep, worst month for A to Z Challenge. All my posts were written in March--it's just keeping up with reading all these blogs and replying to comments that's getting me!

    1. I think it's okay if you step away from the commenting, then. That's enough for anyone. You can make it up to everyone when everything settles down. August?

  6. I like the second variegated one; very nicely done all of them! I really have enjoyed the challenge, but it will be nice to get back to a more normal schedule of blogging; been getting up early to get some reading done of blogs since I've been working an extra hour of work daily with the mandatory overtime which I was hoping that time would be my blog reading time. Better yet, I'm already thinking of a theme for next year's challenge and have some letters blocked out already :)

  7. Oooh love the colour of the first one but both are great! I have to say the final stretch is looking good now. I will be resting after this. I always find fun blogs

  8. That looks really nice. I can do all kinds of crafts but this isn't one of them. However, I did buy a knitting loom from Michael's a few years ago and made some scarves. Other than that, I can't knit.

  11. They both came out so cute!! my favorite is the top one - I like the bolder colors. This is my first A2Z and it's been amazing to visit so many different people. I've had a blast, but I'm counting the days for sure!!!

    1. It's great, but then you're happy it's over. And then you look forward to doing it again next year.

  12. I love variegated yarns way too much. I like how working with them is always a bit of a surprise because you never know exactly what it's going to turn out like.

I only have internet access at weekends (and one or two evenings) so I've been spending most of my time trying to stay on top of comments on my own blog as well as making return visits. I'll try and catch up running through the Reflections list in May and during the Road Trip the rest of the year as well. :-)

  14. My girl loves Eos! Too bad I don't crochet anymore. I can't believe we're in the A to Z home stretch.

  15. Those look cute! I like to crochet sometimes, though I'm nowhere near your level of skill. It was good bumping into you through the Challenge (and yes, I am ready for it to be over). ;)

  16. These look adorable. I think variegated was the way to go.

On one hand, it will be a relief not to post every day, but I've had a lot of fun visiting blogs and stocking up on books from other writers. Part of me is going to miss this, but I need to get back to my writing.

  18. LOVE! My daughter would love one of those. She likes things that have a metal hook so she can attach to her backback. Of course, she loves lip gloss.
