Assistance


At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉

What if a supernatural being appeared to you. . . and asked for your help?

    I would ask more questions..like “Help, with what?” I will not go blindly but once I know what for and have sufficient proof it is true, I would help. This would be a great tv show.

    Any supernatural being that needed my help would be beyond help if it picked me for help! I'd be dreaming if this happened, and then I'd probably help, because a supernatural being needing help, or at all, would only be in my dreams and anything goes.

    I would question his/her/it's motives. Why me? I am not a heroine. Or a fighter. Maybe, if the entity needed a good photo, though...

    Thanks for the election-day distraction, Liz! I'd be more than happy to help an alien, but I would definitely have questions first. Like, where are you from? And (depending on the outcome of today's election), can you take me back with you?

    I'm a helper and a problem solver by nature so I think I would get "sucked" into whatever they wanted help with. I hope it would be something positive they wanted :)

    I’d say show me your ID first, then we’d chat about how he beamed down to earth so I’d want a tour of the spaceship and I figure that’d be good enough for me. Ask away, 😂
