Trapped


At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉

What if you went into a virtual reality simulation and you couldn't get back out? 

Sorry. I know it's been done. But I had this dream, and I didn't have a "what if?" for today, so this'll have to do.

    That would depend if my family and friends were there with me. If they were with me it wouldn't matter if I could get out. If they weren't with me I'd find an escape route ASAP!

    That would just suck unless I am just sitting in a cafe somewhere in Europe where I don't need any cash and can roam around to my heart's content.

    Ever get out? Like Martha said, that would suck. Unless it was a pleasant experience and then maybe it wouldn't be so bad :)

    Well I guess that would depend on a lot of things, like is it better, is my family there....you know all that stuff. If its better it might be best to stay there anyway.
