The other night I stumbled upon this video on Twitter, and I was enchanted. Obsessed? Perhaps.
Anyway, I had to share. It went viral on Twitter, so you might have already seen it. If not, enjoy:
Uh oh. From my end it's not looking like it embedded. If the above isn't working, try this link.)
These videos are cool. Tons of singers have done something like this, too. Major musical AND editing skills. :)
ReplyDeleteShe said something in the comments on YouTube about how she did the editing. It wasn't as hard as you might think.
DeleteVery, very cool music,
ReplyDeleteYup, very cool.
DeleteShe's a one woman band! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see why you were enchanted. It's mesmerizing!
ReplyDeleteKim
It is.
DeleteNice
ReplyDeleteCool! I wish I had the software to create something like this. It would be fun to try.
ReplyDeleteShe talked about how she did it in the comments. There was a program that made it pretty easy. I think you could do it.
DeleteAwesome! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done! Some people are so talented!
ReplyDeleteBetty
That was really neat.
ReplyDeleteAwesome video! Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteThese are always such fun. And Knight Rider translates very well to cello.
ReplyDeleteI came here from Marcy Hatch's blog. This young cellist is so talented! Thanks for sharing. And it worked fine for me.
ReplyDeleteGlad it worked. It was doing weird things when I wrote the post, so better safe than sorry.
DeleteThis is very neat and to me, I have no clue how she did it but it’s great
ReplyDeleteThe trick was in the editing. Anyone who ever played in a band knows how one goes about playing one's own part on one's own. Of course, making sure she kept the same tempo each time was probably the biggest challenge. But then again, she's a pro, so that probably wasn't that hard.
DeleteI love cello music. This is particularly good!
ReplyDeleteIt was. She has a YouTube channel with her doing other things as well.
DeleteWow! this is great! Amazing work, both at the music level and tech level! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz - the tune is beguiling ... while she does play wonderfully well and then so clever with the editing ... loved it - thank you - Hilary
ReplyDeleteWow. Pretty amazing! I always wished I could play an instrument.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. We can all use a smile today. Have you heard of 2cellos? Their music is amazing, too. Be well!
ReplyDeleteThey sound familiar. Do they do contemporary music a la Musak?
DeleteThat is so awesome! I'm glad you shared it, because I had not seen it on Twitter yet. It probably got drowned out in my feed.
ReplyDeleteThat's easy to do. I heard that a post lasts on Twitter for around 18 minutes, so it would be easy for any to get lost in the noise.
DeleteThis is cool! Learning the cello is still one of the things I want to try.
