For Eight Cellos

The other night I stumbled upon this video on Twitter, and I was enchanted. Obsessed? Perhaps.

Anyway, I had to share. It went viral on Twitter, so you might have already seen it. If not, enjoy:

Uh oh. From my end it's not looking like it embedded. If the above isn't working, try this link.)

  1. These videos are cool. Tons of singers have done something like this, too. Major musical AND editing skills. :)

    1. She said something in the comments on YouTube about how she did the editing. It wasn't as hard as you might think.

  3. Cool! I wish I had the software to create something like this. It would be fun to try.

    1. She talked about how she did it in the comments. There was a program that made it pretty easy. I think you could do it.

  6. These are always such fun. And Knight Rider translates very well to cello.

    1. Glad it worked. It was doing weird things when I wrote the post, so better safe than sorry.

    1. The trick was in the editing. Anyone who ever played in a band knows how one goes about playing one's own part on one's own. Of course, making sure she kept the same tempo each time was probably the biggest challenge. But then again, she's a pro, so that probably wasn't that hard.

    1. They sound familiar. Do they do contemporary music a la Musak?

  14. That is so awesome! I'm glad you shared it, because I had not seen it on Twitter yet. It probably got drowned out in my feed.

    1. That's easy to do. I heard that a post lasts on Twitter for around 18 minutes, so it would be easy for any to get lost in the noise.

  15. This is cool! Learning the cello is still one of the things I want to try.
