Making It Up as You Go Along

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉

What if while giving a talk to a room full of people, you suddenly realized you had no idea what you were talking about?

  2. HAHA.....what IF...I would crawl under the table! No seriously, I would have to make a big joke of it all, as I turn really, really RED! But on the flip side I am not one to get up in front of a lot of folks to talk to begin with. I can entertain a room full of folks with my jokes and one liners, being the center of attention but when it comes to actually getting up in front of folks and talk....it don't happen! So how would you handle that?

    1. It could happen. You might find a time when you're asked to do so.

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
