The Quiz

For this week's quiz, you need to identify which movies should have "the" in their titles as the first word.

Movies That Start with "The"

Some of these are obvious. Some... not so much.

I got 92%. How'd you do?

  1. I wish they would've said how many should've had it, before it started. The ones I selected were correct, but I missed a lot of them.

    1. They did. That's why they gave you 25 guesses. Only 25 of them had "The".

  2. I was one behind you. How did I not get The Goonies?

  4. I got 92% too. The ones I got wrong I would have sworn had the in front of them.

  5. Same here, 92%, but I had to do it twice because the whole thing froze on me, either that or it simply couldn't take the slow typing and thinking. :)

  10. I got 88%, not bad. I seem to have a problem with adding 'The' to films that don't have one.

  11. I got 92% too. I'd like to see a similar quiz about band names. There's a surprising number that don't officially have "the" at the start, but nonetheless it constantly gets added!

  13. Only 84%. Harder than I thought it would be! Some really surprised me, like The Shawshank Redemption.....I really thought it came without a 'the'. Fun quiz!

  14. 88% Once again it really was helpful that so many of these movies started out as a book.

  15. I did 88%, but about half of those were guesses. I'm not good with articles, definite or indefinite. I've been known to inadvertently drop 'the' from my own story titles.

    1. Similar thing happened to me. I started out with the ones I knew. Then I started going for the ones that might have been true.
