Fun Trivia: 4th of July

Sunday is the 4th, so of course I'm going to find a 4th of July quiz...

Fun Trivia: 4th of July

It's multiple choice and untimed. You fill in the answers, and when you submit, it gets corrected and you can see how you did. I got 6/10. I think that's pretty good considering how many of them I guessed on.

  1. 8/10. I missed two questions, the one about the African country and the one about rationing bacon.

  2. 4/10. I' not so good.

    1. Hey, you tried. If this were going in the gradebook, I'd be giving credit for attempt, not how well it was done.

  4. I only got five. History's not really my strong suit so I guessed on most of them, too.

  5. I only got 3 right and I guess on those. History is definitely not my thing!

  6. haha 3 out of 10 - not bad for an Aussie I guess, who only knows it's an important date to America!

Hope you are having a good weekend :) Another rainy day here.

    1. I liked how many of the July 4ths were not US centric in this quiz. I think we Americans forget that it's a day everywhere else, too.

  8. I got 6 out of 10 too. A lot of guesses

  9. I got 7 out of 10. The three wrong were all guesses. One of them (the bacon rationing), I only knew because of a historical novel I recently read (and highly recommend). After I finished it I read some reviews and one mentioned that fact.

    1. Misspoke - the bacon rationing I got right - I knew that only because of a review of a historical novel I recently read. If anyone is interested it's called "The Kitchen Front" by Jennifer Ryan.

    2. It's funny how we pick up information sometimes. The things I know from novels...

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
