Flowers

My father and I were walking in the park last Saturday, and he had to stop and take some pictures of all the flowers that had popped up since the last time he was there. As he was doing this, I thought, "Flowers starts with F..."

He was kind enough to let me post one of the pictures he took. Aren't they cheery?

Have the flowers been blooming where you are? What's your favorite flower?

Today's A to Z Challenge post brought to you by the letter...

  2. No flowers for Toronto yet! But the weather has been getting nicer and nicer each day so I'm sure that before long there will be lots in bloom!

  3. Sometimes that's just the way A-Z posts work! Good timing!

I don't know what my favorite flowers are. I did love seeing the cherry blossoms last year in DC. And the flower fields in CA are so beautiful! Tough question! <3.

    1. The flower fields are being trampled this year. After the rains, there's a "superbloom" that the news has told us all about, so everyone is going...

  4. I think we have those exact flowers growing next to our footpath - they are a declared weed here, although The Hub likes them so doesn't mow over them.

  6. Great picture! So neat you were able to spend time with your dad too! I think flowers may be blooming here, none in our yard, but I'm sure around. My favorite flower is a carnation :)

  7. Well, yes, but I live in the tropics. I have Birds of Paradise growing outside my office window, year round. More than that, I recently discovered that the smaller plant out there is a chili plant! Fresh chilies to spice up my food!

I'm so glad you've been participating in my Audience Participation theme this year. You always give good suggestions. I'm finally getting around to visiting AtoZ blogs.

  8. We have daffodils in our drive and back garden. They look nice and I don't need to do anything to grow them. Hope you're enjoying the A-Z Challenge!

  11. These are indeed cheery flowers. Only the first of the flowers are starting to poke their leaves up here, but nothing is blooming. Looking forward to displays such as the one your father captured.

  12. Pretty! It is mainly crocuses blooming where I live; daffodils should be blooming every day. My house location tends to late blooms but I have a white Lenten Rose blooming vigorously right now.

  14. We had an early spring here in the UK and my daffodils, narcissi, primroses, hyacinths etc have now gone or are fading fast. The tulips are still flourishing, though - so pretty.

    1. Sad to hear some are already fading. Glad you have the tulips, though.

  15. Flowers are so pretty! I like pansies, because they're colorful and fun. And I like carnations because they smell pretty. Roses are okay, too, as long as they don't cut me with their thorns.

    1. I've never liked the smell of carnations. Just goes to prove everyone is different :)

  16. Look at all the flowers! How brilliant! We have zip-still grey and brown here but soon we will see some green and hopefully bursts of colours

  17. It's burning hot, here in the south of India. Not yet time for flowers to be in full bloom. I like rose.

  18. That looks like tickseed coreopsis. They are one of my favorite flowers. I hope the perennial plants bought at the garden center last summer survived the winter. :)
