I had such plans for today's blog post. I was going to knit or crochet a cactus, and I had the perfect Z name for it. I already purchased a pot, and I have plenty of yarn in appropriate colors...
And I knit nothing all week. Well, not nothing. On Saturday I knit about five rounds of this scarf.
Some weeks I just can't get anything done. I sat in front of the TV and watched Legion without even a projet in my lap.
So, for those of you who are new around these parts, you may have noticed my knitted letters. There's a story around those. They first made their appearance in 2015.
They are actually useful, sort of. They're monogrammed gift card holders...
They are no longer listed in my shop Zizi Rho Designs, but if anyone would like to purchase one, these letters are still available...
There's just something about Z-day for the A to Z... Every year it seems like I'm so done at this point. How about you? Are you happy April is over? Did you do the challenge? Are you planning on blogging in May?
Today's A to Z Challenge
post brought to you by the letter...

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

Knit a cactus?
ReplyDeleteOnce you start watching Legion, you're glued and can't do anything else. Awesome show.
I did the challenge. Do have a look at my posts.
ReplyDeleteI plan to write at least twice a week.
Pretty good. Not exhausted by the challenge?
DeleteHere's to reaching Z and surviving well. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteZilch is a good Z word. I did the A-Z challenge on my garden blog. I've completed it. But, boy, was it a challenge to find time to do it! Now I have to do some catching up on all my other stuff.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's a lot. I write most of the week anyway, so it's not more for me. But those who blog once a week... That's a lot more.
Deletehi Liz - zilch is a good word and I love your letter holders - hate knitting and wool ... but there it is ... I'm fine and rarin' to go ... well when I feel like posting - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. By Z I am glad it's over as I'm worn out from it. It's still fun, just tiring.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on hitting Z.

Yeah, it seems so easy around E...
DeleteWe all have weeks like that. Sometimes I'm surprised that I can ever be productive :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad it is over and I'm looking forward to a rest. I've enjoyed your posts all month - all the best for your future endeavours :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Enjoy your rest.
DeleteI hope you post your cactus whenever you do get to it. I'd love to see it :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, definitely.
DeleteI'm not happy April is over - well, maybe if May brings spring to upstate New York I will be. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteToo bad we can't get an April do over ;)
DeleteLooks soft
ReplyDeleteI hope you eventually knit the cactus, I would like to see how it turns out! Way to go to finishing A/Z! It is an accomplishment for sure. I don't have it in my blood anymore to want to participate, but it was always a good thing when the years I did participate April was over.
ReplyDeletebetty
Sometimes you just need time off from projects - you'll come back refreshed and the good news is, it'll be there waiting for you.
ReplyDeleteThis is true.
DeleteThe last week has been the hardest for me. Congratulations to us all!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the end is kind of a killer.
DeleteCongrats on making it through the month! Zilch is a fine thing to do sometimes. It destresses and recharges.
ReplyDeleteZilch is also what I'm doing for the next few days as far as blogging is concerned...
Looks like you made it to Z! Great job! I like the colors of the scarf!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The yarn was bought for me, so alas, I can't take credit for choosing it.
DeleteSorry you didn't feel like knitting. But you made it! I also met my challenge, writing just over fifty thousand new words of prose in April. It will be fun seeing what gems can be worked into new or unfinished existing short stories. Congratulations and be well!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. And the knitting will return. It always has...
DeleteYou did it! Well done. I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteCongrats on finishing the A to Z and doing a few more rows and enjoying watching Legion. I’m glad it is done but I do plan to post in May including some cards...finally.
ReplyDeleteI'll look out for your posts :)
DeleteYep. Just like you, during most April A-Z challenges, I am usually so done by the time Z gets here. Grateful for a break. This year was both more relaxing and not than most other years. Oh well. I guess there is always next year…
ReplyDeleteYup, there is. Hopefully next year your computer won't crap out on you mid-challenge.
DeleteCongratulations on making it through the challenge. Sometimes you just a need a TV watching day.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteBut you made it to the end and that's awesome even if things went a little different in the end :)
ReplyDeleteI go weeks not accomplishing what I think I want to. Better chances of me getting something done is when I put it on my to-do list and I keep the list in sight. Your monogrammed gift card holders are cute. They look complicated to do.
ReplyDeleteLove the monogrammed gift card holders :)
