Otherwhere
At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉
What if every fictional world ever devised actually exists someplace?
Today's A to Z Challenge post brought to you by the letter...

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

Would that be cool? I'm not sure…
ReplyDeleteAnd how big would that make our world? Hmm…
Some fictional worlds are not on our world, so I doubt it would make ours bigger.
DeleteI'll be searching wardrobes for Narnia then.
ReplyDeleteme too!
DeleteThat would give me a lot more places to escape from reality!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be something?
DeleteLots of holiday travel options!
ReplyDeleteIf we could get there.
DeleteWe'd spend all our time trying to find them.
ReplyDeleteThen I want to go pretty much any of them. Now.
ReplyDelete...and writing is just your muse telling you the story. :)
ReplyDeleteDoree Weller
Then we muck it up with all the edits and the rewriting...
DeleteHi Liz - now that would be interesting and interesting to map - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteDon’t they? I would imagine that all Fictional places are parts of places the writers have been, just expanded upon.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we could actual handle fictional place..we would mess it up sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
I would have to go to Narnia!
ReplyDeleteThat seems to be the consensus ;)
DeleteSome already happened but others I hope never do exist like 1984 or Animal Farm
ReplyDeleteBut what if they do exist someplace?
DeleteOoh...
ReplyDeleteAs a long time reader of science fiction, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYou'd know more worlds than me ;)
DeleteThey could very well exist.....but I have no clue of it, YET.

DeleteOh dear. There would be some seriously scary places. (and some real fun ones I'd like to explore).
