Catch All and Five Facts

Somehow Monday has become my catch all day. Works for me.

If you're in the area, I'll be at the Green Acres Marketplace on Thursday from 11:30 AM-5:30 PM. Address and info on the Facebook page from the link.

Heather's GoFundMe is almost up to $9000. Thanks to everyone who's helped her get this far.

Last week MsHatch awarded me the Creative Blogger Award. Thanks, Marcy.

The rules:

  1. Thank and post the link of the person who nominated you.
  2. Share 5 facts about yourself to your readers.
  3. Nominate 10-20 blogs and notify them.
  4. Pass on the rules.
So, #1...check. #2...

It's been a while since I did one of these, so I guess I'm due. 5 facts, huh...
  1. At the moment, I'm addicted to Word Crack. I just learned that instead of tapping each letter, I can swipe the word. This has made it that much faster for me to form words, and it enhanced my enjoyment of the game that much more.
  2. I just acquired a stylus for my phone. Kind of like a pen, but it works on touchscreens. I like it so much better than using my finger. It even has a laser pointer and flashlight built in to it. Best part: I found it at the dollar store.
  3. I also play Candy Crush and Pyramid Solitaire Saga. As of my writing of this on Sunday, I'm on level 707 for Candy Crush and level 478 for Pyramid Solitaire Saga. Which may be good or pathetic. I'm not sure which.
  4. I went out walking on the 4th of July and stupidly didn't wear any sunscreen. It's only a mild sunburn, mostly gone now. Me and the sun--not friends.
  5. I just made a bunch of lip balm holders for the farmer's market this week...

I shouldn't really call these five facts. They're more like random thoughts about me.

As for #3, I don't nominate blogs. If you're commenting and would like to do it, feel free to add it to your blog, or give me one random fact about you in the comments.

Happy Monday.

  1. Random thoughts work!
I don't get along well with the sun either.

  2. I forgot to put sunscreen on my legs when I was last on the beach. I didn't do very well on the rest of me, either. It's made for some very stupid tan/burn lines.

I gave up on Candy Crush. It was a huge time suck for me, and I decided I'd rather waste that time watching Sherlock or browsing Pinterest.

  3. I'm addicted to lip balm. Those cases are cute!

    I've never played Candy Crush.

    1. Thanks. They're fun.

Candy Crush is great if you like puzzle games. And if so, stay far, far away.

  4. Wow 707 level for Candy Crush! I think I can't get past level 3. I'll have to try Word Crack; always like games with words. Cute holder for lip balm!

That is great about the GoFundMe funds!!

Random fact about me: I enjoy a good thunder and lightening storm as long as there is no damage that comes from it.

    1. Word Crack is fun. I'm slowly getting better at it.

Thunder and lightning can be exciting. I find them more nerve-wracking, though.

    1. It's a very mild sunburn. I've had worse. (Much worse.)

  6. I wish I had a stylus! I so much prefer holding something than using my finger. I'm glad the sunburn is going away. There isn't much worse than a bad burn.

  7. Ouch, sunburns are not fun. I avoid being out in the sun at all cost for long stretches or else I will burn because I never remember to wear sunscreen. Congrats on the award nomination! One of my BOTB buds passed this on to me, so I need to get my post together to share. Have a good week!

  10. Liz,

I'm surprised you can find the time to play computer games, or maybe it's just me that isn't organized enough to work something like that into my day, Usually between the husband and three cats, helping my girlfriends with things, cleaning house and cooking, finding time to write and do all the other stuff I do around here, there isn't any time left. I've never played any of the games you mention, but word games are good for keeping your mind sharp. If I ever have a spare minute, I may check it out. Usually, I find myself still up at 3 AM wondering how it got so late.

  11. Oh I am addicted to Criminal Case. It's funny how many of us have a weakness for games. Love the lipbalm holder

  12. I know I need the sun to survive, but it hurts my eyes and fries my skin. At least it's hidden by the clouds for a good part of the year where I live.

Random fact: I loved video games as a kid (back when Atari was the thing, but now I'd rather read, watch TV, or sleep with my spare minutes.

  13. I've got a couple of styluses (stylii?) for my phone and Kindle, but just last night I discovered that I can use my knitting needle as a stylus as well. But only when I'm holding the metal of it, it's clearly to do with the conduction or something because if I'm holding the cable it doesn't work.
