The End of July


In honor of my birthday (yep, today), I found a birthday-themed quiz:

Word Ladder: Happy Birthday


I got 100%, but with 8 seconds to spare. The trick to this one is each word is only one letter off from the last one. That's how I finally figured out the one that I couldn't figure out. (Hint: you can do them in any order. Just type in the word in the top box and the word will appear in the box where it's the correct answer.)

And since it's the end of July (when asked when my birthday is, I generally answer with "the end of July"), what better time to remember all those birthdays we forgot:

I only got 64%. But I do know who I share my birthday with. (Hint: she wrote a popular series of seven novels that were made into eight movies.)

    Happy birthday! I hope you had a good one. The quizzes were fun. I got the first one all right, but the second one was a lot harder. You share a birthday with a lot of famous people (although I guess we all do).

    I did great on the first quiz but my mind went blank on the second. I only got 14 answered (less than half). Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a fantastic day.

    Happy birthday! I got 93% on the first quiz. My score on the second is embarrassingly low: 29%. :-( Of course after I "gave up" and looked at the answers, I knew I could have done better had I remembered a few things...

      At some point I started working backwards because one of the clues stumped me. Some of those answers weren't obvious.

    Happy belated birthday and a cool one to share it with. The second quiz was much harder, I only got 61% as opposed to 100% for the first one (although for some reason I got stuck on "to clean" for a while, guess I don't do enough of that!)
