I've been knitting Christmas tree ornaments.
I've been working on the pattern. It isn't quite there yet. But the trials are looking good. (The one on the left sold at the holiday boutique over the weekend.)
The purple one (on the left) was my first attempt with the beads. (Sorry about the picture quality. It came out a bit dark.) I decided that there weren't enough beads, so my next tries had more.
What do you think? How do they look to you?
(I'm also over at the California Crafters Club of Etsy blog today. Make sure to check out the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.)

I like them! I saw on someone's FB page they were either crocheted or knitted, but it was ornaments that strung together that looked like a string of lights (make sense?)

They look cute, as usual. I can't decide which one I like best. Maybe the dark blue one with the multicolored beads :)
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I love the blue one with the multi coloured beads but my favourite colour is blue:) The purple one also attracts my eye but they are all well done!
ReplyDeleteThey're unique and a Liz original creation. If you made them from recycled wool you could label them 'Sustainable Christmas Baubles'. That would be an extra tagline? Yes? No? They're not made of plastic and I love that.
ReplyDeleteNow there's a thought. I could improve my materials.
DeleteI love those. I wonder if you could get sparkly beads to put on them, I like sparkly things on my tree so they catch the lights.
ReplyDeleteAlso Christmassy colour suggestions red with white beads (or vice versa) very festive. ;-). Could you perhaps do them with a stripe of an alternative colour around the middle (without beads on) then beads of the same colour as the stripe above and below it? I think that would look funky.
I could buy sparkly beads. I just used the beads I had on hand. And once I have the base pattern down, I can change them up in any way I wish.
