Ghostly Dreams

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements.
😉

You know how hauntings are rarely an interaction between people and ghosts? How they're more like a recording on repeat? So, that got me thinking...

What if what we experience as a haunting are actually the dreams of the dead?

  3. Based on some haunting stories the dead people have a lot of repetitive dreams of wandering in ghostly corridors, haha!

Hope that your week is going well! Another rainy spring one here!

    1. That's actually where the idea came from. Most hauntings are repetitive, where someone is doing one thing over and over. Kind of like a dream someone might have every night. Add those two thoughts together...

  4. Well, that would be wild. Maybe a good premise for a movie.

  5. I don't dream of dead people very much. My husband dream of dead people.

  6. Who knows! But I agree with Birgit - a great concept for a movie.

    1. Yeah, I try for stuff you wouldn't have considered before. I don't always succeed.

  8. Ooh. And what if our nightmares are caused by evil spirits in turn? Either way - yikes!
