I've got all sorts of strange and disturbing ideas bubbling about in my thoughts. Too bad most of them are ill formed and only semi coherent. My head's in a weird place.
(The other morning I awoke with one phrase going through my mind: "The Twelve Days of Halloween". I'm kind of afraid to remember the dream that went along with that one.)
So, let me see if I can come up with an understandable what if...
What if the dream state is an alternate reality?

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

Then, dude, I'm a total reality surfing pro! ;) Mind=blown.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Whew! I love that idea--12 days of Halloween. That's something I'd latch right onto and explore. I find my dream concepts are well formed, and the emotion behind them is exactly on, but my conscious brain has to refine them a bit.
I love strange and disturbing! I wish I could look inside your mind. It sounds like it would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I like the idea of an alternate dream reality. I think it's been done where a single, continuing dream over several nights represents a new world, but real dreams are incoherent. They have no rules. I'd love a story where the dream-world is like that. Each dream would be completely different but a thread in the same tapestry.
