The yarn I pulled out three or four weeks back...
...has been cast on to needles, and a project is underway...
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like much at the moment. It's much wider than the needles are long.
Ideally, it'll become a body pillow cover. It's going well, but my knitting/crocheting hasn't been working out as well as it usually does, so I take nothing for granted. I'll update one way or the other.
Got any good projects going this week?
I like the grey colors in that yarn. Projects this week? I should start more seeds.
ReplyDeleteHave things warmed up for you now?
DeleteInteresting to see the giant yarn being used to make something. I see it in the store and marvel how anyone could ever use it!
ReplyDeleteInteresting project
ReplyDeleteWe'll see if I actually get a pillow cover out of it.
DeleteSounds an interesting project!
ReplyDeleteI hope it turns out to be interesting.
DeleteI am curious to see how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings, Liz.
Great yarn - I'm sure it will turn out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteIt looks very fluffy.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to watch your progress.
ReplyDeleteMy last two afghans were made with bulky (weight category 5) yarn and I loved working with it. Unfortunately it was a store brand of AC Moore, a crafts chain that closed several years ago. So I have some leftover yarn I have to do something with. I will watch this project with interest although I only crochet. I have a small oblong pillow I use for my back that I inherited from my mother in law and it needs a cover badly.
ReplyDeleteI crocheted a square out of this yarn: https://lawsofgravity.blogspot.com/2022/01/end-of-experiment.html. There are plenty of patterns for crocheted squares such as this. I'm sure two or three stitched together could work. (That was originally my plan, but I hated making that square and I wasn't in the mood to find another.)
DeleteIf you don't have enough yarn, you could totally stitch it to a fabric backing.
That is an idea! I am checking out the web site your link provided a link for. Thank you.
DeleteThey did an afghan. That was one block. There were at least 13 (16? I cant recall) blocks that were all the same size. The link that I had there will have a link to the finished afghan. And that has links to all the blocks with the patterns they used.
DeleteThe yarn is handsome and looks like it would be soft and comfy to the skin. I’ve been cleaning out corners and starting seeds in egg shells.
ReplyDeleteMy latest projects have all been culinary. Thanks to your kindly visits to my blog, I guess you know. Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteThose are projects. They count.
