Leader Void

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements. 😉

I'm not officially doing the A to Z Challenge this year, but I thought it would be fun to match posts to the letter of the day anyway.

What if the sudden death of your boss put you in charge?

  1. Oh, man. I would be toast. Heh... One time I went to a meeting and found out I was the presenter (!) which shocked actually didn't turn out too bad. It was probably best Nick sprung the surprise, and he probably knew it. Be well!

  2. I'd quit LOL. I always say I enjoy being the worker bee and not the queen bee. I don't want to be in charge. I just want to do my job (when I can) and not have anyone I'm responsible for other than myself :)

  5. The sudden death of my boss? I am my own boss. That would be...bad.

  6. I would worry that I was on #2 on the list. I'd head out the front door.

  7. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. I prefer work to being the boss!

  9. No way. I quit. I used to be a manager (years ago) and it just wasn't for me.

  10. That wouldn't have been good for me since I was my boss, the best boss I ever had.
