Decide the Decade

Before we start today's post, a little PSA for the Blogger bloggers out there. Have you noticed that you're no longer getting email notifications for your comments? There's a fix.

First, go into your Settings, then under Email. Delete your email from Comment Notification Email. Then Save Settings. Once that's been blanked out, reenter your email. Blogger will send you a verification, and once you've confirmed, your email notifications will be restored. (Much thanks to J. E. Oneil for figuring it out. Make sure to stop by and thank her.)

And now, back to our regularly scheduled post...

School is out. I'll have my year end stats sometime next week. (I'm not in the mood to dig through them right now.) So, to close out the week, I'm offering a random quiz. *cue confetti*

This week it's "Decide the Decade" for you history buffs...

Decide the Decade

I got 10/15 the first time I tried it. The second time (as I was writing this post), I got... 6/15. Good luck!

  1. I've never had mine set to get notifications. My inbox would fill up way too fast.
    Off to try the quiz!

  2. Thanks for letting me know how to fix notifications. I went in and did that this morning. Now I'll see if it worked for me.

  3. I imagine I would be terrible at this game. ~grin~ Having read about the student singing with his music, at least the F bomb is better than you getting stuck with a pin! I'll have to check out that author's site. Be well, my dear.

    1. Please do check out the author's site. The decades aren't recent, so I don't blame you for not playing.

    1. Yeah. I had heard years ago they started as a playing card company, so I wasn't surprised.

  6. 7/15 47%....haha. Like Birgit, I was surprised with the Nintendo question.

    1. It's amazing how many companies that are famous for something started as something else.

  7. Having an old browser, the page went kaput before I could finish. Just as well, I was doing poorly. Ha. I'll give the email hack a try. Thanks, Liz.

  8. I only got seven right. Dates are not my forte. Figuring out stupid google problems on the other hand...

  9. 10/15. Shame on me. Thank you for the moderation fix; I've applied it. I was beginning to suspect something had gone wrong with settings but now I know what it was. I updated my "moderation" message while I was at it.

    1. It's probably a good time to update a few things. Perhaps that was Google's intent all along...

  10. I got 11/15, 73%. The music questions were my weak point.

Used to get the email on my main site, and that was a too hard. Thanks for the fix info.

    1. It's good to know what to do even if you don't need to right now. Maybe you'll need the info later.

  11. I got 4/15 on the quiz, 27% LOL :) Thanks for the fix about the comments. I haven't done a blog entry since there were problems reported by other people, so now I know how to fix things when/if I should decide to post again :)

  13. Hi Liz - 10/15 when the time plug was pulled! But wasn't too American in flavour ... cheers Hilary

  14. I failed that in a spectacular fashion (27%) but then I still think of the 90s as "ten years ago" lol

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
