Not Actually Identifying Age

It's Friday, so it's time for another random quiz. This week it's all about opinions.

Can We Identify Your Age Based on Your Political Opinions?

By the way, the answer to that question is generally "NO". Every quiz I've taken that purports to guess my age always guesses wrong. And by a lot.

By the way, I also link to quizzes daily at my shop's Facebook page

And this Sunday, I'll be at the Green Acres Marketplace. If you're in the Long Beach, CA area, please stop by and say hi. It's open from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. And there's lots of great food vendors.

In case you were interested, the age they quiz came up with for me is 26. They missed it by a couple decades.

  1. Oh, I took that quiz last week or so. Surprisingly, it was only a few years off from my actual age.

    Have fun at the Marketplace!

  2. LOL, I got 33! (I'm 57). I think it really doesn't have anything to do with age; it would be interesting to have my 26 year old son take it; wonder what his would calculate to be! Wishing you a successful marketplace adventure and PUT ON SUNSCREEN!

    1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they base the age guess on how liberal/conservative you are. So, I'll always skew young.

  3. It got me at 26, the same as you :) (also, pretty close). But it also said I was hopeful and optimistic about the world and that's way, way off.

    1. It's fun when they say you're younger. Not so good if they get you older.

  5. I'm 33 - Yay!!! I just dropped 20 years!

  6. All right! I got 26! Never mind that I'll turn 57 in December. Young at heart, I guess.

  7. This was my result:
"You must be around 47 years old! You have lived through a lot of world-changing events and experienced a myriad of historical innovations. You have lost a lot of the optimism that runs free in the young, liberal population of nowadays. You tend to be more conservative on the political spectrum, and you consider yourself a bit of a realist. You definitely support human rights and other social issues, but you have a harder stance on things like immigration, security and economic policies. Although you are mostly a traditionalist, you are open to some forms of progress which makes your political persuasions very logical and moderate. "
I'm more than ten years younger than that! Every quiz seems to put me at older than I am. The taste in music one on Facebook put me at 62!

    1. They really need a more nuanced metric for these things.

  8. Yay! I got 62 and I am 64! I don't think that probably makes me much of a liberal. But that's okay too!

    1. I guess it has to get close sometimes. Or that means your ideology is where it's supposed to be? I'm not sure.

  9. I'm 33. Now they have all that information about me.

    1. It was hot and muggy. I'll post about it this week. Maybe.

  12. I'm 29 and it thinks I'm 47. Apparently I'm jaded and I've lost my youthful optimism. Gee, thanks. Hehe.

Hope you're having fun at the market. :-)

  13. I got 33 which is a couple of decades off. I still have youthful optimism.

  14. I am not sure about its scoring, but then I teetered in the middle a lot, and strongly about some on both ends. It says I am 33, but I have a daughter turning 40 this year (yikes).
I guess that means I am open minded, but strong in my beliefs in topics that I hold deeply.

I'd personally settle for something like 45...that was a good age to be.

    1. I suppose you could go back and tweak your answers...

  15. I got 26 also. And I’m a grandma, no where near 26. The analysis of my answers was spot on.

  16. It said 26. I'm 62. Must mean I think young. Or, that my age got reversed. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
