I've been watching Through the Wormhole again...
Okay...
What if the universe we live in is a computer simulation? What if we are all parts of some computer? Does that mean we can control the simulation? How much can we control the simulation? Or are we just cogs that can do nothing to change what we see around us?

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.

I love that science programs like "Through the Wormhole" take us laymen (you and I) and continue to question. It makes me sad that there are so many people in the United States who no longer question anything. This was a great episode. I so want to watch science programs with you. We'd have great discussions.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a theory proposed by physicist Brian Greene--that the universe we perceive is just a hologram.
ReplyDeleteIf it feels real, does it matter if it's a simulation? We can't detect the difference, so maybe it's okay if it's a simulation. If we can't control it, well, we can't control the universe either.
