New Infinity Scarf

Last week I mentioned my newest knit project. That I had just ripped out. I went down one needle size, cast on again, and I've made a little progress...

It's only about an inch in length (well, width), but that's over 324 stitches in a round. I'm happy with that. For now.

I'm looking ahead to the next infinity scarf. I had one stitch pattern I thought would work, but alas, I don't like how it works up. Maybe I'll have to crochet it...

I also found a couple patterns that I really like. There's this beanie made with short rows. I love how that looks. And then there's this crocheted mini flip-flop keychain. I'm definitely going to make one (or more) of those. (Due to copyright concerns, I'm only sharing links. Please do take a look. The pictures will tell you why I need to make these.)

Of course, there may be more jellyfish in my future...

  1. That looks like a complicated pattern. I like the color of the scarf. Pretty!

    1. It isn't, really. My last one was way harder. It's nice to do an easy knit/purl pattern now and again.

  2. How wide will it eventually be?
The world could always use more jellyfish.

    1. Depends. Scarf width, I hope. But it'll depend on when I run out of yarn.

  4. I do so love that color. I'd call it 'teal', right?

    1. Yeah. Teal. Maybe aqua. I'd have to look at what the yarn maker called it, but teal's a good description.

  7. The texture and movement of that pattern makes is lovely. Have you considered making a starfish that could hold a bladder of some grain--like rice or beans--that could be put into a microwave? would make a nice sized heater for specific aching places.

    1. I know, right? I may have to make it for the Toph in the family. And it's just short rows. I can do short rows.

  9. Next infinity scarf? If it's not going on forever, it's not very infinite.

    1. It goes forever the long way round, because it's connected... Yeah, it's a stupid name. Feel free to rename.

  12. Those keychain crocheted flip flops are so cute! Something else for my "one day" list. I've never crocheted an infinity scarf. I should have when they were big time in fashion a couple or three years ago.

    1. I think they're still in fashion. At least, I'm going to pretend they are.

    1. It's soft for wool. I've never considered wool all that soft, though.

  14. That beanie is cute! Thong keychains (I'm Aussie so thong it is) are a dime a dozen in Oz, although I've never seen a crocheted one.

My Mum crocheted me an infinity scarf for my birthday one year. It's a gorgeous colour but really long! I wrap it around 3 times, lol.

    1. I still slip and call them thongs, too. But I get weird looks due to the underwear and all. But they were thongs when I was a kid.

    1. It seems to be going faster than the last one. (That's on me. I picked an easier stitch pattern for this one.)
