(These are in my shop, actually. And the patterns are also available (the mesh one and the scaly one). In case you were wondering...)
Today's A to Z Challenge post brought to you by the letter...
My personal blog about the random things that are in my life: writing, knitting, and substitute teaching.
I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
Cute idea! I would love a giraffe or a monkey or a kitty for my daughter. She loves animals:)
ReplyDeleteOooh, a monkey with long arms as the strap? That has some promise...
DeleteI like the scaly one - I would love a rainbow coloured one, or a super cooper girly one with big peony style flowers and maybe some glitter or sequins.
ReplyDeleteI could take the rose embellishment and make a bunch. Floral out the thing. I like.
DeleteI'd love to see what you come up with for a new design. Are you going to use an aquatic animal or something cute (or both)?
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful designs on these water bottle cozies. I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteTrisha Faye
Thanks.
DeleteThese are really neat! I'm impressed! How long have you been knitting? What is your favorite thing to knit?
ReplyDeleteCute. Someone gave my daughter a crocheted holder for a ball jar -- I guess like a little lantern to hang in a tree or somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWendy at Jollett Etc.
So cute! Do those get wet from the bottle's condensation?
ReplyDeleteI know the bottles do develop condensation, but I don't feel the cozies get soggy. The yarn seems to absorb it.
DeleteA polar bear for the critter; cute!!! No I don't carry a water bottle, except when we go grocery shopping.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!
betty
Another nifty idea. I only carry water when I'm exercising, or riding public transport for long distances, or driving fro long distances...or for medium distances...:)
ReplyDeleteInteresting read. Visiting from A-Z Challenge; returning your visit to my blog at GenWestUK
ReplyDelete(BTW, the webinars I spoke about are 2.0-3.30 Eastern; that was the 'North Amercian afternoon' I mentioned.)
2 PM Eastern is 11 AM Pacific. Not too early, but definitely workday.
DeleteI love this idea Liz, not something I have seen on any of the crochet sites I like to visit... the animal idea (especially the monkey with arms as straps is a winner in my eyes) Great for kids.
ReplyDeleteYou are to good ! its so cute, never seen like this... I don't really carry water bottles, my daughter does and she loves teddy bears
ReplyDeleteA teddy bear... I bet it can be done.
DeleteWonderful patterns. I use an expanding water container when I'm running errands. It hooks on to my purse and can be rolled up when empty.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I've never seen one of those. That would be cool!
DeleteWhat a great idea! This is great when one is walking and doesn't want to hang on to the water bottle. Looked at some of your other writings-Love about the cell phones!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the orange one. I've usually got a water bottle with me, but never the permanent kind. My youngest quailed all attempts at permanent-bottle-usage when he demolished the second one. =)
ReplyDeleteTrue Heroes from A to Z
I don't carry water with me but I know I should. Trouble is as a teacher stuck in a classroom you can't keep popping off to the ladies. You are creatively talented in more ways than one I see!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I sip my water all day...
DeleteCool cozies! In fact all the things you have on your Ravelry page are neat designs! A cozie out of a turtle would be fun :)
