Not Missed

At the heart of much speculative fiction (and fiction in general) is a question. What if? On Tuesdays I like to throw one out there and see what you make of it. Do with it as you please. If a for-instance is not specified, feel free to interpret that instance as you wish. And if you find this becomes a novel-length answer, I'd appreciate a thank you in the acknowledgements.
😉

Think of something you do frequently, like visiting the same coffee shop, walking in a neighborhood, or even going to work or school...

What if you don't make it one day, but no one notices?

  1. When I read, "don't make it" I thought of me not making it cause I am gone, dead, kicked the bucket, out of here! haha....SO if I did not make it, chances are I would not know it or care. So, be it.

    1. Well, I didn't intend it that way, but I didn't specify, did I?

  3. Big whoop! I don't really care if they don't notice.

  4. If my employer didn't notice, that would be scary! There are actually no retail places, right now, that I visit on a regular basis so they would never notice that I wasn't coming.

    1. We would hope the employer would notice, for sure.

  5. I rather lay low and if my present isn't known on certain days. So much the better.

  6. I think the only place my absence would be noted would be at work, haha! For other things it wouldn't matter if I was absent if someone else took the kids - I think they would notice at sports if the kids were missing though, haha!

Hope your week is going well :)

  7. Depends where it's.
Like if I don't for my walk one day (I walk alone) and even if no one noticed, it wouldn't matter.
But if it's some place where my presence matters, my absence too would. And I am sure I would get a call, asking me what happened.

  8. Living in such close proximity with my family of four in our small 1208sq ft condo, I am pretty sure my absence would be felt if I were missing!

    Happy Wednesday!

I appreciate your comments.

I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.

*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
