Crocheted Mini Backpacks

I decided to make some more mini backpacks...

It's purple, but I can't get my purples to photograph well. I just replaced my camera (that's a story in itself), so if it was a camera issue, I'll soon find out. (These were photographed with the old camera. These are probably the last pictures I'll take with it.)

The coral pink shows up much better...

I think this is one of those things that show up better in video, however...

I also have all the pieces of a gray one done, but it isn't assembled. I had a bit of a mishap in the assembly, so I put it aside to be dealt with later.

Also when I took these pictures, I took some new shots of my firework earrings...

Just because.

I really should get playing with the new camera. Other things just kept getting in the way.

  1. Hi Liz - well the purple one is certainly vibrant, the pink one is pretty ... but I love the firework earrings ... cheers Hilary

  2. I like the purple and can see the colour more so in the 2nd picture. The coral pink is also nice and most will love that colour. The earrings are cute

    1. Thanks. Yeah, for some reason in the 2nd photo I was able to get it more into the purple.

  3. Cute! And what fun earrings. Thanks for the kind word on my blog post. I asked for my husband to bring home lunch in repayment for accidentally flinging clods of dirt at the back of my head. ~grin~ He was happy to do so. It was nice not having to cobble together something for lunch yesterday and just keep writing.

  4. Love this! What are the dimensions? Could you do a combination of colours together (rainbow)?

    1. It's small. It's about 3" X 2" base X 4" height. Approximately. And yeah, rainbow is doable.

  5. Those are adorable. I wish my ears were still pierced. Those danglies are my style.

  6. I love the earrings, although I think if I was wearing them they'd tickle me too much...

  7. Those are cute backpacks! Are they like key chains or what?

  8. The backpacks are adorable, hope you get it figured out on the pictures! The coral pink looks great but I can see what you mean about the purple picture. Hmmm

    1. Purples just suck with digital photography. At least in my experience. I have no idea why.

  9. I have a new camera I want to play with (so I can work out how to use it properly) as well but don't have the time. Hopefully soon!

  10. I think the pink is a better color, especially with black button. What about a different color button for the purple one? These are wicked fun!

  11. Super fun! The earrings are a POW of color and shape.

  12. I can't help but try to figure out what goes into the mini-backpack... a matchbox? Lipstick and lip gloss?
I love the earrings, but I know they'd tickle my neck and I'd be fighting them all day.

    1. The earrings are really rather invisible feeling, well, except when they get stuck under my purse strap...

I don't know what would go in the backpack. Anything you'd like, I suppose.

  13. I always have problem photographing purple items. The flash just washes it out, and if I don't use the flash, it's too dark. It's a no-win situation.

  14. Cute earrings and backpack. The video (I watched the first couple of minutes) did show it nicely, including the size. Certain colors just don't photography well- with my flower photography I have definite problems with white, for example.
