Well, not real ones...
A neighbor has her Easter decor up. She decorates for every holiday. I thought it was cute (and I needed something for E).

I appreciate your comments.
I respond to comments* via email, unless your profile email is not enabled. Then, I'll reply in the comment thread. Eventually. Probably.
*Exception: I do not respond to "what if?" comments, but I do read them all. Those questions are open to your interpretation, and I don't wish to limit your imagination by what I thought the question was supposed to be.
Oh my , I don't even know when Easter is - haha, I need to look it up!
ReplyDeleteI encourage you to visit Penwasser Place. My topic for the A-Z Challenge today is Easter. I explain it all there. With more than a bit of snarkery. Liz knows how I roll...lol.
DeleteEvery time someone mentions not knowing when Easter is, I have a pat response. Which means I couldn't resist this: Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. This year that would be April 13th, but for some weird reason, we're having it on April 20th.
DeleteWhich is why I use the calendar...LOL.
DeleteActually, I think Easter was DOGEd this year, which explains why it was pushed back to the 20th.
Jamie here: Love those decorations.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty great. I even left out the Easter flag she has flying (although it would have worked for E, too).
DeleteThe schools here had "spring break" last month. I was confused, I thought that was the week around Easter.
ReplyDeleteI think it used to be. But, I also think school districts have downplayed that aspect. Also, Easter this year is April 20th. Far too close to college graduations so...
DeleteIt used to be. For us, it still is. But some school districts have it when they decide they want to now.
DeleteAs you can probably imagine, my school had Easter Break around Easter. The nuns made it so.
DeleteI've had Easter/Passover decorations up for a few weeks (here, in the Penwasser house, I don't put up Jesus decorations-although he WAS in Jerusalem for Passover). Rather, I put up Easter Bunny decorations.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that this year the Greek Orthodox/Russian Orthodox churches in our area will be observing Easter on the same date, April 20. Our schools are observing spring break starting April 18 with the last day on April 25.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this year Easter is on the wrong Sunday. There's this calendar with an idealized moon, and... Yeah, I'll just stick with "wrong Sunday".
DeleteAnd I just found out that Passover starts next weekend. Thank goodness for that calendar...lol.
DeleteLove the decorations. Our schools are not on break here till August now.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a long time away.
DeleteGosh, it's such hard work decorating and then taking it off for all the holidays!
ReplyDeleteSo cute
ReplyDeleteI don't decorate for Easter. I don't know why.
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! We used to decorate for holidays more when the kids were small. @samanthabwriter from

It's harder when it's just for you.
DeleteVery nice. I'll sometimes post A to Z Easter eggs during the challenge. Something that is adjacent theme but not matching the letter of the day. Thought by the title yours might be something like that. It was actually better.
ReplyDeleteAh. Yeah, I'm not terribly creative on Saturdays. I'm used to posting Monday-Friday, so Saturday is just something quick to satisfy the letter of the day.
DeleteHi Liz - fun that your neighbour brightens up your neighbourhood - and E for Easter Eggs are a-coming ... lots of sunny flowers too - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteEaster decorations are cute. My daughter is going to put some decorations up for Easter as well.
ReplyDeletecute!
ReplyDeleteIt is cute. I sort of wish I had a penchant for holiday decorating...
ReplyDeleteI don't either. I just enjoy the decorating of others.
DeleteThis is Birgit…this is so sweet and makes me think of days gone by when my Aunt and uncle came with their 3 kids and, on Easter Saturday, my mom blew out the egg contents, cleaned and dried them and we all sat at the kitchen table and proceeded to paint them however we wanted it to look like. I painted flowers and abstract looks, whatever one wanted to do. It was so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like fun.
DeleteVisiting some neighboring blogs in A to Z. Sometimes the thing right in front of you is the best topic! I'm dreading X, Y, and Z.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
DeleteThat's cute.
ReplyDeleteThe decorations are cute.
ReplyDeleteAt the first, I thought it was your knitted Christmas lights garland... This one looks great too ;)
