Odds and Ends

I've been working on some jellyfish. Slowly.

These have been in process since August. It's not that they take that much time. It's just I've been distracted by other projects. And other things.

I told you about the larger version of my cell phone cozy I made for a customer.

And I just knew I had to make one for myself. In orange (naturally).

But just before I did this, I got a request to make something just a tad larger in black.

(I got a little artsy with the photo. Have you tried Prisma?)

Right. So back to the jellyfish. (I now have a deadline to complete them by, so that'll get them finished.)

  3. Black one looks extra soft.
Still think the jellyfish are really cool.

  4. Is the last one purse size? Super cute! If I had money to spend on purses, I'd totally carry something like that around! :)

Is the jellyfish deadline a deadline you imposed or client imposed? … If client imposed, I wonder what they will use them for. I always thought they'd be cute hung up in a child's nursery. :)

    1. The black one is just a touch larger than the orange one. With a long strap. So, pretty much a tiny purse.

Client imposed deadline. She's seeing her granddaughters next week, so she needs them by then.

  7. I love my cell phone cozy. It's perfect for those day when I have no pockets (or pockets large enough for my phone).

And I do love those jellyfish. Like Crystal said, they're so stinkin' cute!

  8. Cable knitting is something I have yet to try. I love how it looks, but I'm just being lazy and not ready to tackle it. LOL

    1. It's not hard. Depending on the cable, you might only have an "interesting" row every so often. (And I even do that without a cable needle, but I've had a lot of practice.)

  11. Those jellyfish (I guess they do look like octopuses) are so cute. Nothing like a external deadline to make us get things done....Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

    1. People keep calling them octopus for some reason. There is an octopus pattern...

  13. The jellyfish are cute.

Aren't deadlines great at making us get things done?

  14. The jellyfish are so cute and colourful. I love the blue cellphone cozy. The little purse is perfect when going out and don't want to take much

    1. That was the exact request. She and my father go for long walks pretty much daily, and she wanted something big enough for her phone, her inhaler, her lipstick, and a couple bucks. Perfect size.

  15. I think there are probably some aquariums and pet shops that would want to purchase those jellyfish in bulk. They could also be used in classroom displays if there was an ocean theme. Clever lady!

    1. I was actually in a marine biology class the other day that had jellyfish (made of paper) hung up everywhere. I was going to tell her about mine. (Well, not mine. The pattern was created by someone else.)
