A funny thing happened over the last few months. The quiz site I currently use, Quizly, did a kind of series of quizzes about color. 'Round about the third color, I thought about making them this summer's quizzes.
Each quiz has one question 20-ish times. Which of the following choices are in the color of the quiz? This is both easier and harder than you think. In some cases I figured it out through process of elimination. I knew the others weren't, so the last one had to be. In some cases I did know which was the right color. And in the rest of them, I wasn't entirely sure.
I hope you join me on this journey through the colors. Today we'll start with green. (Why green? Why not green?)
What's Green?
I managed a 19 out of 20. Woo-hoo!
Good luck. Let me know how you did in the comments.

Jamie here: I didn't do the quiz, but I was reminded of the color-mixing reels that keep popping up on Facebook, and the names for different shades of each color. For green I have seen lime, mint, among others.
ReplyDeleteThat's fun.
DeleteI have not participated in one of your posted quizzes in a while...darn thing isn't wanting to load. Grr. -will keep trying.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it can be glitchy. Unfortunately. I have yet to find a good quiz site that doesn't have some issues. Mostly with the ads. Sorry.
DeleteI was half way through this quiz when I got a bad popup that tried to download something on my laptop. I clicked out of it and ran a scan. Unfortunately I won't click on these anymore.
ReplyDeleteSorry. They need to vet their ads better.
Delete18/20 Missed the chemistry question (never took it) and the skin color of some fruit I'm not familiar with.
ReplyDeleteI did take chemistry (in college, even), and I couldn't tell you the color of any compound. It never came up in class.
Delete15/20. I am not the greatest on popular culture, but I'm surprised I got one of the comic book questions wrong. Not that I've read a comic book since around 1972.
ReplyDeleteSome of those were tough. Seriously, some of them I only got through process of elimination. And some judicious guesses.
Delete19/20. I don't know a guava from a mangosteen lol
ReplyDeleteThe quizz is not loading up smoothly my friend. I will give another try real soon
ReplyDeleteI got 14/20 which I thought was a really good result as I am red/green colourblind. The one that threw me the most was the Harry Potter Q... I had no idea that the robes were different colours for each house and I've watched HP an awful lot.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That is a great score if you're colorblind. The red quiz is scheduled for July 10th, so feel free to skip it. (Next week is blue.)
DeleteThank you! Every tree is full of angels. Deus caritas est!
ReplyDeleteI have Guardio and it stopped me. I doubt it's a malicious site, but I only got as far as Yoda being green. Well, duh.
ReplyDeleteThe site can be glitchy, and it has way too many pop up ads. Sorry you can't play along.
DeleteThank you for sharing this, Liz. I hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Delete18/20. Missed the chemistry and flag questions.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, Liz!
14/20, I'm good about movies, food and stones ;))
ReplyDeleteA bit alien for me.
ReplyDeleteNo worries.
DeleteI missed one, regarding the barium flame. My husband the science geek would have known. lol Two were flat out lucky guesses.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. It's amazing how many things we just don't remember the color of.
Delete16 out of 20..Wow, you are an absolute Green Expert! You breezed through this quiz like it was a walk in the park. You clearly have an eye for detail and know your pop culture and nature facts inside out. Give yourself a pat on the back, or maybe go treat yourself to a lime sorbet—you've definitely earned it! BONUS QUESTION: Which massive island is named after the color green, even though it is mostly covered in white ice? Answer in the comments!
ReplyDeleteGood job.
