This past Friday I logged into Bluesky before going to sleep, and they were having a grand old party there. And this is the reason I'm there, for this sort of thing that used to happen on the now dead Twitter. It took a while to get the gist, but once I did, it was kind of fun in a weird way.
No, I'm not going to explain, but I will give you some sample posts...
They all get very creative without specifically saying anything. It takes a bit to catch on, but once you do... Sometimes you just need a good laugh. And some wishful thinking.
A few articles from the past week:

- Customs and Border Patrol agents interrupted two crews of firefighters working to control the Bear Gulch wildfire. They lined them up, checked IDs, and ultimately arrested multiple men

I haven't been on twitter in years - is it finally dying off?
ReplyDeleteA lot of folks have moved to Bluesky or other platforms, Twitter is still alive but much smaller than it used to be. Musk killed the goose that laid the golden egg.
DeleteI use Bluesky but most of the people I'm friends with use Twitter so I'm over there more.
ReplyDeleteI don't use either Bluesky or Twitter. I had a Twitter account only to contact an online business who only had that method of contact. Deleted it when Musk took over. I'm not a social media user, only Instagram, and that's my dog's account!
ReplyDeleteI stopped using Twitter on November 7, went onto Bluesky and then, maybe two or three months later - just stopped. I'm down to Facebook, mainly because it's the only way I stay in contact with several people I know. And gosh, I missed a party that included Keith Olbermann.
